Volunteer Opportunities

VolunteersVolunteers are a key component to the success of our Festival. Here are just some of the ways our volunteers help out while Festival musicians are in town:

Musician Hospitality

  • Homestay host – provide accommodation and light breakfast for a visiting musician.
  • Dinner host – provide and host dinner for chamber musicians.
  • After-party host – host post-concert party.
  • Rehearsal host – setup rooms ready for rehearsals. Might include making coffee, setting out snacks, being available to answer questions etc.

 

Transportation

  • Local  – drive musicians to/from rehearsal and concert venues.
  • PDX – drive musicians to/from Portland airport.

 

Food Service

  • Lunches – provide and prepare food, assist with setup/cleanup.
  • Dinners – provide and prepare food, assist with setup/cleanup.

 

At Events

  • Stage management – assist with setting/resetting stage before, during and after performances.
  • House management – assist with setting/resetting house before and after performances (e.g set out/pack away chairs).
  • On-site ticket and merchandise sales.
  • Patron check-in.
  • Ushering.
  • Food service, bartending.
  • Parking coordination.
